Social Media NZ Interview #1: Carl Cox on social media and Technology

 Thursday morning, second day of the Rhythm and Vines festival, I had the opportunity to sit down and have a quick chat with one of Rhythm and Vines most prestige international acts, DJ Carl Cox.Being a third time performer at the Rhythm and Vines festival, Carl Cox voted best DJ of the last 25 years by Mixmag readers is a strong presence amongst techno house followers for over 20 years and still going strong. Since receiving his first turntables at the age of 15 Carl has had a great love affair with music and has since started up his own label ‘Intec Digital’ also a music composer in his own right since the early 1990’s, without question Carl has created an influential following over the years and inspired millions around the world through his music and his pure love for his job.My Interview with Carl involves a discussion regarding Carl’s website. Various thoughts involving the usage of technology mixed within the music scene as well as its vitality for Carl as a DJ to market oneself as a brand across the globe. Carl’s views on technology include his personal opinion on the Apple iPad and its existence amongst various established DJ’s.There is a strong belief whereas DJ’s of today have a greater advantage compared to when Carl initially started out in regards to the ease of technology and various social media platforms.Here is the full interview of me and Carl Cox:
