Super Bowl Ads Overshadowed By Power Blackout

This Super Bowl game has it all. A fierce game, some good looking guys on the field for the ladies, a good looking lady sashaying around at the half time show for the guys, and awesome ads that have the Internet a buzz with opinions. But all that has been OVERSHADOWED (get it, get it?) by the biggest event to ever occur in Super Bowl history. No I am not talking about Jacoby Jones' 109-yard return TD Super Bowl record, which was, quite, frankly - EPIC. I am talking about the fact that after the record setting run, the power went out.For 34 minutes. It certainly caused a shift in the game, with the dominating Ravens loosing a bit of traction and the 49ers starting to crawl back on the board. But enough about the game, back to the real issue - the power-outage.There are already a heap of Twitter accounts who are claiming to be The Super Bowl Lights (or Lights Out, or Power Out), and according to @TwitterAds It took just four mins after the lights went out for the first Twitter advertiser to bid on [power outage] as a search term. FAR OUT!Oreo have come to the party with this brilliant, brilliant piece of advertising.Oreo Super Bowl Lights Out For those have have spent squillions on advertising this year (Audi, Doritos, Budweiser, the usual Super Bowl gang) they have to be kicking themselves over this outage and the underdog who is dominating for the charts for 'Best Super Bowl Ad' . I think this tweet of the day pretty much sums it up. Twitter, Super Bowl
