Social Media NZ Interview #2: Talking XERO and Social Media with Rod Drury

Xero was founded in July 2006 by successful technology entrepreneur Rod Drury and specialist small business accountant Hamish Edwards. Xero is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and is a fast growing company with teams in Wellington, Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the UK.

With that I welcome you to another Social Media NZ interview series. In this interview, we sit down with Xero C.E.O Rod Drury where we chatted about what is Xero, how they are ultilising cloud computing in what they do, how Xero is using social media and where he sees’s social media will be in the next few years.

Without giving much away here is my full interview with Rod Drury:

John Lai was born in Malaysia, on a little island called Borneo. He grew up in New Zealand and was one of our earliest experimenters of the new-wave social media platforms under the handle "@iamjohnlai". He co-founded Social Media NZ in early 2009 to provide a hub for people to keep up to date with new-media trends and share knowledge about how they're helping shape and change NZ. He is a hot chocolate addict, sports nut and loves travelling.
