We believe tamariki are taonga. In this role, you’ll help us build a country where everyone shares this belief. Through your work New Zealanders will be more aware of the needs of tamariki and whānau. They will understand what Oranga Tamariki and our community partners are doing to make things better and what they can do to help.
You will do this by leading the development and implementation of best-practice social media strategies and cross-channel content – providing effective day-to-day social media management and sharing authentic stories that inspire and motivate.
You will wear many different hats. One minute you might be providing creative content recommendations, and the next you could be analysing emerging trends and creating a report for our leadership team.
An important part of this role is ensuring we provide a responsive service to the whānau and tamariki we work for. You will do this through your calm, responsive and empathetic approach to handling sensitive issues through social media.
This is a key role seamlessly working across our Engaging all New Zealanders and Communications and Engagement teams. We’re looking for someone with skills in leadership, coaching and influencing a large group of remote colleagues who don’t report to you, as well as functional expertise in strategy, content management, social media, paid advertising, video content and analytics. You will be able to quickly establish trust and build strong cross-functional relationships.
