Tweets from the Bible

Even if Christianity or religion isn't really your thing, the idea of someone aiming to tweet the Bible has either got to make you think the person is crazy or just really religious. One thing is for sure, it does take one thing - commitment. It is probably not the first time you have come across a religious Twitter account, there are a few - most of them featuring quotes or parts of scriptures. What is different about this account? Well this account is run by a normal every day person by the name of Chris Juby. He doesn't have an standing within the church, but wishes to share his faith in the aim to inspire fellow Christians and other people. Juby will tweet every day from the account @BibleSummary, each tweet will summarise a chapter within the Bible from Genesis to Revelations. No mean feet, considering the longest chapter has 176 verses. With more than a thousand chapters in the Bible, his last tweet will be in November 8, 2013.In an interview with the Telegraph, Juby says that the Christian Bible underpins much of the Western Literature, he says that well known writers like Shakespeare and Dickens have made references to it. Some of the parts written are often an obscure version of a scripture passage. It makes you wonder whether a 140 character limit will help very much with clarity.Even if you are not religious at all, you do have to admire he tenacity - I myself can't say I would be willing to try and summarise chapters of the Bible, especially since some of them contain a multitude of verses. There are other religious accounts including @Quran or @BiblicalTahnakh - or you could always follow the Dalai Lama himself. If you prefer a more philosophical approach there is also @Shakespeare_Quo, @OscarWilde and @Quotations. And if you just want some motivation you can always follow @TonyRobbins or @DrPhil. There is almost everything for everybody's tastes.Do you follow anyone who inspires you on Twitter?
