Guide on how to avoid the royal wedding

The wedding is done and dusted, there is a new dutch and duchess, and the buzz will continue to go on for the next 48 hours if you are lucky. I know there will be people out there thinking how can we avoid more of this wedding shenanigans online and off, well you would be very proud of me for doing this as I am channeling all my whatever'ness towards the wedding into a constructive and helpful guide to avoid all this royal wedding buzz

  1. Go offline - This step may be the most effective of them all, however to those who live their life online may find this step the hardest.
  2. Go to your local park - Yes the local park you know the one where you use to walk you dog everyday since Twitter and Facebook became part of you life.
  3. Avoid major news programs - For the next 48 hours your CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, FOX or your Local news channel as correspondence from this channel will be talking about who wore what and ogling over Catherine's wedding dress. Google will be your best friend for the next few days on knowing what else is happening around the world
  4. Turn off your phone - Now this step is probably asking a bit too much, but if you are someone who has your Twitter and Facebook notification on then its best you just turn it off for a few hours.
  5. Pack your bags and go on a road trip - This is the best time you will find to head out of town and do that fishing trip you've always wanted to do
  6. Watch those old dusty DVD's - Its a perfect time to get all your friends over for a marathon weekend of Battlestar Galactica
  7. The Playstation credit card stealer - Track the guy down and give him a piece of you mind
  8. Carry a sick back with you - Well I know it's going to be hard to avoid all the royal wedding goss, so I encourage you to carry around a sick back
  9. The white iPhone 4 - Now I know this goes completely against the turn off your phone rule, but this phone is sexy enough to break that rule, so in order to break the turn off the phone rule you need buy a white iPhone 4
  10. The Angry birds game - the best way to take your anger and frustration out

Those are the amazing 10 tips I hope that will help you to avoid the Royal Wedding online and offline, consider this wedding another holiday weekend for those who are just not that into the glitz and glamour of the event. I encourage you to add onto the list on how to avoid the wedding online or offline or both in the comment section below. [Image credit: Scotsman]
